Dr. Del Piero specializes in treating the retina and the vitreous. Untreated issues in these parts of the eye can lead to severe problems like vision loss. Dr. Del Piero has practiced Ophthalmology in Monterey County since 1985. In his nearly four decades protecting patients' eyes, he has also been an instructor at Natividad Medical Center, President of the Monterey County Medical Society, and served on the Board of Trustees of the California Medical Association. His stellar care and expert eye knowledge led to him receiving the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Achievement Award in 1999. 

Dr. Leland H. Rosenblum specializes in cataract, glaucoma, and oculoplastics surgery. His impressive education includes graduating magna cum laude from Brown University and earning his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He has treated patients throughout Monterey County since the 1990s and has been voted Monterey Peninsula's best ophthalmologist by the Carmel Pine Cone 12 times. His prestigious affiliations include being a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and serving on the California Academy of Ophthalmology's Board of Directors. 

Dr. Shi is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has a subspecialty in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Surgery. She is a born-and-raised Northern Californian who earned both her bachelor's and medical degree from the University of California, Davis. Her special areas of care include complex cataract procedures and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries. Her abilities earned her membership in the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery as well as the American Glaucoma Society. Dr. Shi is fluent in Mandarin, allowing her to better serve patients throughout Monterey County. 

Dr. Caputo's Doctorate of Optometry was earned from the Southern California College of Optometry. As an optometry student, she extensively studied ocular diseases. She is certified in both therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and glaucoma, and earned a Masters of Public Health from Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. As part of her master's program, she conducted award-winning research about underserved Latino communities and created educational materials about diabetic retinopathy. 

Retired U.S. Army colonel Dr. Husted spent 16 years serving as Silas B. Hays Army Community Hospital's Chief of Ophthalmology. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist, Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, and an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Husted has completed a fellowship in retinal diseases, giving him an elite level of retinal care ability. He became an instructor at California Pacific Medical Center in 1979, and has served as an in-demand instructor for over four decades. 

Board-certified and licensed in Ophthalmology, Dr. Zhou is a highly skilled physician and surgeon. She cherishes her relationships with her patients and strives to understand the unique needs of every patient.

Dr. Zhou is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Cornea Society. She has published numerous articles in medical journals, written several book chapters, and presented research at local and national meetings.

Dr. Burckhard was born and raised in North Dakota. He attended medical school at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. His ophthalmology residency was at the University of Wisconsin and he completed a prestigious fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at West Coast Retina and California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He will bring cutting edge vitreoretinal therapies and surgical techniques to Monterey County.
