Roger C. Husted, MD Ophthalmologist
Dr. Roger Husted (retired COL, US Army) has served the Monterey Peninsula since 1975 where he was the Chief of Ophthalmology at Silas B. Hays Army Community Hospital in Fort Ord. In 1991, Dr. Husted began private practice and immediately grew his patient base throughout Monterey County.
Dr. Husted acquired his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine. He later completed an internship and residency in both pathology and ophthalmology at Letterman Army Medical Center, San Francisco as well as an additional fellowship in retinal diseases at California Pacific Medical Center.
Dr. Husted is board certified, a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, and an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. He actively holds an academic appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor at California Pacific Medical Center where he has been an instructor since 1979 and remains active with several ophthalmologic organizations.
Dr. Husted and his wife have two boys.
